Check Return Status
SEARCHLooks up a return by its RMA number — its status, the order it belongs to, the reason, the refund amount and status, the items, and any return shipment tracking.
Create Tracking
EXECUTERegisters a shipment with AfterShip so it is monitored from then on, optionally tagged with an order number and subscribed to email updates for the customer. Reports a number that is already registered as nothing to do.
Detect Carrier
SEARCHIdentifies which carriers a tracking number's format could belong to. Returns one carrier when the format is unambiguous, and all the candidates when it is not — it never picks between them.
Get Estimated Delivery Date
SEARCHPredicts a delivery window for a route using AfterShip's estimation engine, before a shipment exists to track. Takes origin and destination countries as ISO 3166-1 alpha-3 codes, optionally with postal codes and a carrier.
Start a Return
EXECUTEOpens a return request against an order in AfterShip Returns and hands back the RMA number the customer needs to quote. Reports plainly when AfterShip refuses, so a failed return is never described as one in progress.
Full Tracking History
SEARCHReturns every checkpoint the carrier has recorded for a shipment, newest first, with time and location. Use for "where has it been" and "why has it not moved", where the current status alone does not answer the question.
Track Shipment
SEARCHLooks up a shipment's current delivery status, carrier, expected delivery date and most recent carrier scan from its tracking number. The everyday "where is my order" answer.
